That's why he became a professional Development Coach in recent years, carrying with him the mission to bring out the best in people by developing them holistically including in the aspect of whole brain creativity. Talk to him, and you can almost surely sense his burning passion for coaching. And he will stop at nothing to tell you that every person who aspires to be successful in life needs the input of a coach!

This "all-rounded" man is the co-creator of the FUNdaMENTALs Series, together with Patrick Chan. Patrick contributed mainly the "FUN" element and the latter with his diverse background, the "MENTAL" part. In fact, many of his friends think he's a MENTAL CASE!

Here's why. Terry Phillips was trained under the Whole Brain Guru, Ned Herrmann, and is certified in Whole Brain Technology. He's at the same time a Behavioral Consultant representing the Asia Pacific Region for the Institute for Motivational Living, Inc. and more recently, the Managing Director of Coach House Asia.

Professionally as consultant and trainer for the past 20 years, he has conducted numerous training programs and has done extensive consultancy work for many multi-national corporations, private sector clients and non-profit organizations in the region. His graduate level training in California in inter-cultural communications and leadership development combined with his living in Asia since 1981 have proven to be a winning combination. As a trainer, consultant and now a professional development coach, he has a special understanding of the needs of this region and its cultures.

Terry carries the designation of a Certified Coach Facilitator with the Corporate Coach U International (CCUI). He currently represents Coach U Inc., the world's leading professional Coach training program company and through Coach House Asia, he facilitates the training of professional business and personal development coaches and conducts the Coaching Clinic™, which is a program designed to equip managers with basic coaching skills. Through his own company, MTS-Asia Private Limited, he maintains a private coaching practice of personal and corporate clients.

By far to date, Patrick's most exciting and challenging project is the development of a cutting edge learning and training methodology called The FUNdaMENTAL Approach. Using this fun and highly mentally stimulating approach, Patrick together with Terry Phillips, a professional developmental and whole brain coach, co-developed and conduct a series of workshops called the FUNdaMENTAL Series. This is a series of high impact, high fun energy, highly interactive and experiential approach to learning and training that is simply effective and impressive. This FUNdaMENTAL approach is based largely on the research work of Ned Herrmann and his Whole Brain Technology.

To this cause, Patrick co-authored with Terry a book entitled "FUNdaMENTAL aerobix: A series of high impact, high fun energy and mentally gyrating workouts for the whole brain". This 160-page book not only outlines the "What, Why and How" of the FUNdaMENTAL Approach but also contains hundreds of mind-blowing whole brain teasers which the authors aptly call FUNdaMENTAL aerobix.

Patrick is also a Certified Behavioral Consultant with The Institute For Motivational Living, Inc. and uses the DISC profiling instrument in his coaching and training endeavours.

However, his greatest achievement to date would have to be the creation of the mind-blowing concept of Word Juxtapoz®.

Word Juxtapoz®is a trademarked creative whole brain concept of juxtaposing words and pictures to depict common expressions or catchphrases. It uses a powerful blend of colourful words and visually appealing illustrations to communicate with its readers. Published in the forms of books entitled Word Juxtapoz: A Hilarious Collection Of Absurd Word Puzzles and Word Juxtapoz: A Collection Of Original Creative Thinking Puzzles, play cards called Visual-nary Cards, a desktop calendar-style compilation entitled Home Crackers: An Assortment Of Mental Crackers For The Whole Family, these items of merchandise have since sold over 20,000 copies in Singapore and are used by hundreds of teachers as a creative thinking tool.
